    Guesses on breed….

This is Lucifer (aka Luci) I got him in a box of random chicks and have no idea what breed/breeds he may be. In the mix with him was 2 bantem light Brahma’s, a few dark Brahma’s, and some unknown BYM. He’s spectacular looking but not the best rooster, the ladies don’t really like him much.

I think this one is a pullet. 11.5 weeks (they were 2 weeks old when I got them, but seemed small) Are Ayam’s generally a smaller bird? This one is on the left in the pic where they are together

    8 week old Ayam Cemanis

I have 2 8 week old Ayam Cemani chicks. I’m hoping at least is a girl. I’ve identified the banded one with a B in the photos because they’re impossible to tell apart. Any guesses?

I'm currently feeding everyone grower mix and free range for about an hour a day, but I'm sure the older gal is...

I knew better but.... my baby success story - Can we sex it yet?

I grew up on a farm, so yes, I know better but now I'm in a city and have time. So I have a 4 week old chick. It ALMOST made it to the compost but it's plucky one. It started pipping but the humidity in the incubator was off, so it didn't hatch. I naturally assumed it had shrink wrapped and...

Next up... Someone crowed this Morning

Some one crowed this morning... more than once. I think I've narrowed it down to these beautiful jerks. Confirmation that they are both Roo's and up for rehoming. 10 weeks old. The ginger one and the one with the red shoulder leakage.

Is my most favorite a gal?

This is my most favorite. It is 10 weeks old and the most docile in my group of 4. I really hope it's a pullet but I've had one person in my local group think she may be a roo, most think pullet. What do you all think? Fingers crossed for a gal.

Hi everyone! My name is Molly and I live in Edmonton Alberta (Canada), I am originally from Prince Edward Island but, like everyone, moved for work. I am new to chickens as an adult and hatched my first one about 10.5 weeks ago, but we had chickens on the farm when I was growing up. I currently...
