    My chickens have colds:(

    So I purchased 2 hens from a local farm and brought them home to find out they both are sick! They are sneezing and have that gurgling sound when they breath, and on top of that they have bloody poo sometimes. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this cold?

    Debeaked new hen

    I went and got a 6 month old hen today to replace the one that a bobcat ate yesterday, I got her home and noticed they debeaked her. I'm NOT happy about this.... Will her beak grow back? Does it hurt her? Should I feed her layer mash instead of pellets? Help!!!

    I'm sorry to have posted in the wrong forum before under pest/ predators. I had three of my hens get eaten by a bobcat and now I only have one. We do not want to buy chicks and keep them separated until they are old enough to get along. Does anyone have advise on how to raise a hen by herself...

    Chicken laid weird egg

    My 23 week old RIR has been laying for a couple weeks perfect;y fine eggs, untill today she laid an egg that was very long in shape and when you cracked it open it was a bit bloody and the yolk didnt look anything like a yolk, it was more like a peach pit, it was gross. Is that normal?

    my 3 month old Araucana does not like to be bothered

    I have 4,3 month old hens, 1 black rock, 2 RIR and 1 araucana. THe araucana does not like to be held, played with, she rarley even comes up to me at all while the other 3 love me. Is this normal? How can I get her to not be so fussy. I have handled these babes since they were 1 day old.
