    how old is old?

    I have 4 hens that were 2 yrs old this summer and 4 that were 1 yr old this summer. They have all been great layers, even last winter. Now, not so much. Have only been getting one or 2 eggs a day, occasionly 3. Of those, 1 is flat on one side. One is nicely formed but has extra calcium spots...

    i think my 5 yr old hen is having seizures

    It started late last nite, her head will shake and curl under her sometimes almost to a summersalt. This will last about 30 seconds then, with her neck still under her it is like she is sleeping. She will do this for a few mins to 10 minutes. Sometimes she will b ok only a few seconds/mins...

    need a coop

    Hi from Albuquerque. We started collecting 2-4 chicks every spring 4 yrs ago & now have 5 hens (idk the kind), a 8 yr old brindle rott/pit, a 4 month old pit/sharpe pup, 1 indoor n 1 outdoor cat. We hope to have a garden this yr. I'm excited to learn about how to build a coop this summer.
