    Do I still need to feed my hens Egg Maker when they have stopped laying for the winter? Or is there something better to feed them? Thanks

    Muddy run.. Is it a problem?

    My question is what do you do about a muddy run? Do you put hay over the mud or just let it be? Do you have a roof over the run? It gets really nasty.There isnt standing water or anything like that, just a lot of muck. Thanks:)

    Reptile heating pad for water heater/de-icer?

    My husband and I have several reptile heating strips for our lizards, my question is can we use them to prevent our chicken waterer from freezing? We have the basic 3 gallon waterer. Our thoughts were that we could place the heating pad underneath the waterer? Any form of input would be helpful...

    My hen ripped her beak off...

    I have a hen that has cross beak. It wasnt so bad as to cause her not to eat. Well I went out to check them this morning and the curled end of her beak is ripped off but the inner flesh is still there. I have no idea how to treat or care for her. Any ideas? I really hope this photo worked..
