    PVC feeder can be a death trap!

    Surprise Mommy!

    I just went out to give my girls some butternut squash seeds and Lacie came out of her box....ate a few and PLOPPED me out a trade! I really spoil her rotten, cause the others beat up on her and I have her seperated from them. Out of eight, I got 4 eggs today! Way to go girls! My DD sings...

    Bug zappers:)

    Here in the south of Louisiana, we have lots of skitters and other nusiance bugs....so I have been using a bug zapper in the run. In the mornings, when I go out to feed, I unplug it and use a fallen feather to knock the bugs out. The girls just have the most fun eating the falling bugs...

    Hello from Colyell, Louisiana!

    I have had chickens for about three years, all Reds. Eight in all. Came across this board by looking up something. Hubby loves fresh eggs, but can't get it through his thick skull that I enjoy my girls as pets! They are molting now and have really slacked up, so hoping they will start back...
