For what it's worth. I used a sharpie on some eggs under a broody and all 5 hatched out just fine. If I were going to use the bator I would probably use a pencil though.
At 10 and 7 months I would think that you should be getting eggs from just about all of them. If they are 24/7 free rangers they could of found a nice hiding spot to lay their eggs. If you could confine them for a time you might just get some eggs and also get them to come in the coop at night...
Gosh, I hope you all are right and it turns out to be a girl. If I'm still in doubt in a few weeks I'll post more pics.
Sorry, no more eggs, I got them from someone on the other BYC, I don't know if she comes in here or not.
Thanks everyone!
Jeanne
On the opr, I have checked for wattles and there appears to some little ones growing, they are quite pink as well.
Some of those EE have me guessing too. Some have more combs than others but none of them are very pink. I'm not sure which one you are refering to, but most of them are mixed...
I hope your right. But I'm afraid the odds are against it. I had 6 blue orp eggs in the incubator and got 3 to hatch. So the chances of all 3 being pullets is pretty slim. I'll hold on to him for a little longer just to make sure though.
Thanks,
Jeanne
Here's a full body picture from today at 7 1/2 weeks.
This one shows the 2 blues that I'm pretty sure are girls along with there hatchmates. You don't see any other roos in there do you?
Thanks, I'll try and get more pics this evening.
I looked for wattles last night and they're barely there but they were pretty pink/red compared to the ones that I know are pullets.

This little one has me confused. At 4 weeks I was sure that it was a boy, but since then his comb has not gotten much bigger. It's really about the same size now at 7 weeks as it was then.
What do you think? Boy or girl?
I got my Kelp Meal here: http://www.biconet.com/pets.html A 5# box is about $11.00. I got mine in August and still have alot left. I mix it in with their feed.
I started using Kelp Meal this spring when I had predator problems and the girls had to stay in their run. I was using it to try and get the nice dark yellow back in the yolks. It seemed to work, but it's hard to tell for sure because after awhile they got to free range a little when I am able...
