    Deworming.

I just brought 3 geese home and while they've settled in quite well I would like to deworm them as idk their history. I know Levamisole can be used in geese, but can Praziquantel? The dewormer is have on hand is a levamisole/praziquantel combo. TIA

    Colour Question

I picked up a hen from a small village last week(just driving by and the colour caught my eye) Once we got her home she was pretty dingy so gave her a bath. She cleaned up pretty good. I'm curious as to what colour both my hens are.

    Badly pecked /scalped chick.

I've got one chick hatched under a broody while I was gone today and she pecked it pretty bad. I've removed it, and put it in an incubator on its own, the skin is loose along the back of the skull and there's meaty bits hanging out just below that. Eyes are ok. Moves alright. I didn't treat it...

    Barring, Blue, and Naked necks

Ok, I have a NN Barred Roo He has a Bowtie, so pretty certain only one copy of the NN gene. I put him in with an assortment of hens. Two frizzles, one white(maybe a white PR), one speckled black that lays green eggs, one black, and one brown hen with a blue tail. I'm trying to increase my NN...

I really like the way the Cemani Chickens look...and I have three hens that look like they may be

however they're extreme frizzles and I would like to breed some smooth feathered healthier looking chooks. They are excellent, large to jumbo egg layers and I love their calm personalities. The Roo is a nice big boy but not mean or flighty. I should add that the hens are all quite heavy solid...

Bought these a couple months ago. Still not sure about breed or colour.

Two hens and two Roos, but I only have decent pics of these two ATM. Hens have single comb and Roos have rose comb. Any help with breed or colour would sure be appreciated.

Darn! I didn't check humidity when I moved eggs

to the hatcher. and was surprised when I got up this morning and there was only the one already hatched last night. (in the incubator...surprise!). The humidity was only 38... should I interfere or leave it? I added water and the humidity is climbing now. But ...will they all be shrunk wrapped?

Hen abandoned nest, eggs in incubator but have red mites...

They are further along than I thought and I see a pip. I was going to clean and candle them tonight... I unplugged the turner, but should I take them out and clean them or just let them hatch and take care of the bugs later... I have a clean hatch going on right now in my "hatching" bator. I...

One of the chicks is seizing, has a twisted neck... sound familiar to anyone?

It was fine for the first week or so,(the one on the right) and suddenly it looked weird. I segregated it but it didn't get worse, OR better. It seems to seize if it gets excited and it's neck is twisted around funny. Yet still eats and drinks just fine. I was going to cull it yesterday but...

    Shoyu Tamago

Is super easy and very yummy. It's just hard boiled eggs simmered in soy sauce.

Broken leg, 12 week old pullet.

I have a Chick with a broken leg, The break seems to be on the long leg bone just ablove the foot. Completely non weight bearing. I wrapped the leg in a soft cast with gauze and vetwrap, but I'm wondering what are its chances. It was a closed break, but I have no idea how it happened. Could have...

    Bloody while zipping and pipping?

I haven't "helped" at all. I've never seen active bleeding in a zip before. Is this normal?

    Aplomado Falcon?

We have a nesting pair that have been coming for the last 15+ years. Just saw one of them today so they're back for the winter. Are they big enough to do any damage to my chickens? Will my dogs be a deterrent?

    No comb...hen or roo

I know it's a frazzle but a guess on breed wouldn't go awry. I didn't breed it, just ended up with it.

    I think...my roo got beat.

That's all I can figure. No one else in the stall is injured that I could see on a cursory glance. I looked pretty good, just didn't pick them up to look too close. Do I want to keep this dry? or wet? I have sulfa powder and I have ointments. He's already separated and in a box.

Chick has funky foot. What should I do? *pic*

I'm unsure whether I should just be tough and cull it or if I should see if it straightens out. I taped it last night with bandage tap and when I took it off this morning it looked like this. (much better last night it was curld sideways and walking on the side) Will it straighten out from...

5 week old chicks. combining with flock?

We're moving to a new coop and I was thinking it might be a good time to put the chicks(the ones that are fully feathered) in with the big chickens? Or is that too early? I've had them out with the big chickens under supervision and they've all seemed to pretty much ignore the chicks except for...

DARN! Woke up this morning and my temp was 96.6°F :(

I took the turner out last night, added some water, turned the temp down a titch as it was 101, and went to bed. Should have stayed up to watch. I also put a small crack in one egg through carelessness but it was just above the membrane so I wasn't panicking about that. *kicks self*

So dry incubating in a humid envrionment...

I added water to my incubator and put in eggs, but then read about dry incubating and just never put any more in. I live in the jungle. The humidity INside my house is normally anywhere between 75-90% With a dry incubator and both vent holes left open the incubator has maintained a constant...
