Back in August, our dog brought us a turkey chick. We raised it with a new batch of day old chicks we had just received.
It's November now and the thing has decided to stay with our chicken/duck flock but I'm wondering if you all can tell me if it's a hen or tom?
We have 4 females and a drake and they are huge.
The drake is breeding the females or at least going through the motions. Is this earlier than usual?
Thanks.
I haven't had pigeons for almost 40 years.
This beauty showed up and adopted us a few days ago and I need to know if it is male or female. My gut says female with the small head and feet but I'm not sure. - Thanks

I lifted up a sheet of plywood in my barn and there was a nest of 2 dozen baby mice just starting to crawl. The chickens took one look and it was like a shark feeding frenzy.
I assume the eggs will still be good to eat the next few days, right? lol
I need photo or diagram of the circuit board or the Pullet Shut Chicken Door.
I specifically need to know which 2 out of possible 3 prongs does the jumper go over.
Thanks
I gave my hen 7 eggs that I assumed were fertile since we have a rooster.
Two of the eggs got destroyed and they were both duds.
The other 5 have all hatched.
Do you think the hen knows which ones are duds and which are good after a certain period of time?

Scroll down on my facebook page there is a short video.
These seemed to have hatched a day or 2 early. There are 5 eggs and as of right nor 3 have hatched, a 4th has a crack starting and the 5th is taking it's time.
I have a broody Australorpe that is on 6 eggs for the last 3 days. I selected those eggs based on the hens that lay them and their health, size, egg size, and laying rate.
I wanted to add another egg from todays lay for a total of 7 eggs but it is 3 days later. Can I do this and will she stay...
Do chickens molt at this time of year? It seemed all of our chickens molted back in October but now we have a Buff Orpington that has lost alot of feathers on her bottom and neck. It seems like they all fell out at once and are still falling out. The coop is loaded with them.
Heck of a time as...
I'm in New Jersey and could sure use your votes for my dog Penny. She is a French Mastiff (think Turner and Hooch dog) that someone abandoned. She wandered onto our property and adopted us.
If we win the contest the prize will help cover her vet expenses.
Voting ends at 11pm and we're 20...
We could use the winnings for her vet bills. We took her in after someone ditched her.

I figured I'd keep updating this for the next 20 days or so:
Yesterday my 7 month old Buff Orpington (Henrietta) went broody (I think) and sat on 5 eggs all day and all night and all day today.
The 5 eggs in the nest had been in the coop for a week maybe longer so I was unsure if they were...
I left 5 eggs in the nest for a week and today one of my Buff Orp's has been sitting there for 12 hours so far. I want to let my kids see a hen hatch some eggs. Papa is a Dark Brahma. There could be Light, Buff, Dark, Brahma chicks, Brama/Orpingtons, Brahma/RIR's. He's dedicated to all 12 of his...
Who lets their chickens free range and do the chickens go back to the coop to lay their eggs?
Two of my chickens layed for the first time yesterday. It was also the first time I kept them in their run/coop all day . They are 21 weeks old tomorrow.
I like to let them free range. They're...
At 20 weeks and 5 days.....(but who's counting).... pretty sure it was my Rhode Island Red. I saw her standing in the coop doorway. There were no eggs when I was out there an hour ago. Ironically, because of the weather, this is the first day they've been confined to there coop/run. I'm...
My flock will be 20 weeks on Monday. My Brahma Roo (same age) "sowed his oats" with the RIR today...she let him as she squatted and didn't put up a fight while he finished. Is this a sign that maybe they'll be laying soon?
He tried on a Light Brahma yesterday and she didn't fight it either...
