I told him i would pay for the coop and stuff and help do work around the house, i have been saving my money for a little while for chickens...anyway, i would just get a couple serama hens. How long would they live?
I live in a residential area and i cannot go to the township office because it has the same hours as my school day. I asked my dad about asking them or getting it approved but he just keeps saying "no, it's restricted" but he won't tell me how he knows so he probably just dosen't want me to have...
This link should work...i dont know why it is a blank page, but anyway my dad said it was illegal because someone had them before here and had them taken away, but they were eating them and i know you have to have a permit for that.http://www.ecode360.com/6352265
Hello, i am just wondering if this pet law applies to chickens http://www.ecode360.com/6352265. I hope it does. I have wanted chickens for a while now but my dad keeps insisting that it is illigal and after three months i still do not kniw if it is legal to keep 2 or 3 small quiet chickens in a...
I live in a small neighborhood so i would probably be caught. I still don't understand though, why can't residential folks in my township have no hens at all, i mean what harm could a couple small hens do?
Oh, cool. I am sure people will want to but them. Maybe if you look online for websites that buy, sell, and trades chickens. I would buy them myself but it is illegal to have chickens where i live.
I live in a small neighborhood with a couple other neighborhoods around me. My yard is only about 1/2 acre but i was really only going to get 1 or 2 seramas. Here is the ordiance i found for my township on keeping and maintaining pets....which my chickens will be. www.ecode.com/6352265 i am not...
If it is illegal to have chickens where i live, would one or two malaysian serama hens really matter? Or would they be taken away and i would be fined? I live in a small neighborhood with an ok size yard (about 1/3-1/2 acres) and i am pretty sure it is illegal to have livestock on a residential...
I am pretty sure it is illegal because someone had them in my neighborhood before and got fined a lot of money. They had a lot though and they were eating them so they probably had roosters but, i dont know. I really only want a few silkie and serama hens or maybe even only two or three of one...
Hello....I am just wondering, if it is illegal to have chickens on a resdential area where i live, is there anything i can do besides going to the city hall. My parents don't want to fight the city over chickens. So, is there anything i can do or am i out of luck until i can move out? Any help...

Agree. Can't tell someone else to take over your responsibility and follow by your rules then walk away expecting them to spend the $ and take the time to do it. I'm betting for every rescued hen/roo there are 100's that are not that lucky. It's great if you can find someone else...
