It has been decided. We're going to import birds from Europe.

Put me on your buyers' list for Standard Barnevelders if you're serious. The gene pool in the US is terribly limited and diluted. Love to have some REAL Barnies that lay a DARK Brown egg!

    Sussex Question

Buff Sussex are the fastest maturing and heaviest of all the Sussex in our experience. They feather out faster than any of our other breeds and are little butterballs while they're growing. They also have every bit the Sussex attitude; quiet, friendly, excellent foragers. We feed our excess roos...

    Buff Sussex

We have Buff Sussex and Light Sussex. They both have the same friendly inquisitive attitude. They are both huge, beautiful, fluffy chickens. Our Buffs seam to be a little meatier than the Lights. Both breeds are good layers and true dual purpose breeds as the cockerals actually have a decent...

What is a good (or bad) dog breed to have around chickens?

We have two Australian Shepherds who are allowed to be with the chickens and two Bullmastiffs who are not. The older Aussie is alittle less patient about being pecked than she used to be(she's 12). The younger one is very tolerant with them. Aussies have a high play/prey drive but are very...

Hi, I would like to hear from anyone who had raised the Kosher King meat birds from Clearview Stock Farm in Pennsylvania.
