    Bloody poo no other symptoms

2 nights ago I noticed a single bloody stool in the coop. I watched the 5 girls all day but never saw anything else. Today I went to let them out and it almost looked like a murder scene in the coop. They knocked the board I had covering the nest boxes down and turned it into a lovely droppings...

    Barred Rocks - All Pullets?

I have six 8 week old Barred Rocks. I only plan on keeping 2 of the six. Before I find them new homes I'd like to make sure they're all females. Based on coloring it looks to be a yes, but I know it's not the only thing that comes into play.

4 Day Old Chick with backwards head

I've been trying to figure out what's going on with one of my new chicks. She's been fine until this afternoon when I noticed her laying in the brooder with her head doing a complete 180. I've been giving her electrolytes via a dropper and then this evening did poly-vi-sol, E, and selenium...

The chickens were out over the weekend in the yard and I'm wondering if one got in the way of a deer. I found her dead this morning and she had what looked like a lot of...

7 month old Wyandotte not laying

I have a 7 month old that's still not laying. She is on the bottom of the pecking order. Do you think stress couldbe the reason behind it? She otherwise seems healthy.

First Egg or do I have Egg Eaters?

I added an Olive Egger and a Silver Laced Wyandotte to my flock in early February. At that time they looked pretty close to laying - red combs and wattles and I've been waiting for months now for that to actually happen. Today all the chickens were out in the yard. They usually hang in twos -...

Help - Hen has foamy eyes, runny nose and is wheezing.

Hi all! Not so new to the forum, just new to posting. I hope someone can help with the new hen I purchased over the weekend. Trying to treat, but I'm hoping it's not worse than what it seems. 1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the...
