I had a few like that back in May...just moisten the eye, and what I did was slowly, gently, using my thumbs, pull the upper eyelid up and the bottom eyelid down at the same time until they opened. I had to do that several times, but it eventually worked very well. All of their eyes are perfect...
Yes, you have to clear the area...it may already be too late! I lost a chick at a week and a half - almost 2 weeks old back in May because I knew nothing about it. I just thought she was dirty back there. By the time I found out what it was and removed it, it was too late. It is so, so serious...
Our dog licks the chicken poo that makes it over the outside of the 2x4's around their coop and run, and then she licks her own pile of "stuff". It is just nasty, but to her, it is a scrumptious treat!!!!!!!
Seriously-wow! That is great!
The rocks all over....VERY good additional predator proofing! We do it here...even with the chicken tractor at night, yes I move them every couple days-good exercise-we line it with nice sized boulders. We'll be doing the same thing with our new coop!
Great work!
Oh, this makes me sick! I feel so sorry for you and your chicks! These hatcheries have a responsibility to us and these innocent babies to ship them overnight-PERIOD! They would rarely, if ever, get lost, and they'd be given great priority like mine were last week. (and the baby chick consumers...
Our next door neighbor has a helicopter, a small plane and a fighter jet (like straight out of Top Gun). It would be different if he wasn't showing off all the time and dive bombing people's houses or being nosey and taking pictures!!!!!!!!!! :| Hopefully your problem goes away...ours won't...

I don't know you walkswithdog, but I like you! Oh, and what you said about being ticked off...and not paying attention.........wow - WELL SAID!!!!!!!
Your baby didn't want you to see him pass...he wanted you to find him just the way you did-lying peacefully. My MIL found her daschund in almost the same way last year. My heart goes out to you. I know your pain. Picture him alive and bouncing around on a cloud! Dry your tears with the fur of...

MapleSky7, this dog wasn't a runner. He was waiting for someone to come back and get him. He will be scanned for a chip, but I'd bet big $ it comes back empty.
He has a forever home now. The guy who took him will make sure he doesn't have a chip and then will make him part...

YES!!!!!! Great idea! You could charge a nominal fee for them too. ESPECIALLY if they are mixed with Pit Bull... Another awesome idea is to go to www.bestfriends.org and email them to get put on their network list. You'll be able to reach other network members within like 100 miles or...
About this recent SWAT raid that's all over the news:
This happened to my mom down in FL too...they obviously had the wrong people, as they did in this case, but thank GOD my mom's dogs were locked in another part of the house! These SWAT dudes are covered head to toe in enough armor to protect...

I think there might be some HOUND in this boy too. He sure is one...
Funny you mentioned Freddy Krueger toenails...I was going to say that is a good sign he hasn't been to a vet or had a family recently. I hope the vet trims them right away! What an adorable dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have done God's work today caring for him and finding him a home! The world needs...

Can you get a hold of a dog crate or something? How many would you need to fit in there and how old are they? Just something temporary until you can get that one checked out. Any ideas?
