Keeping babies in a section of the coop?

Thanks :) I also have a new coop with no other birds in it so I thought it might work. First time I'm getting chicks and it seems most of the posts I read on here people had them in their garage or house so I was worried about the temps out in the coop. Thanks for the reply!

Keeping babies in a section of the coop?

Instead of a separate brooder, can I keep the babies in a sectioned-off part of the coop with a heat lamp of course? I live in Southern NJ and they arrive April 2nd so the night time temperatures should range 40's - 60's although for weeks it's been much warmer at night than that. Thanks :)
