Try putting a wooden egg in the nest box. It will show them where they should lay their eggs. I did that to train my girls when they were first laying. And def block the area where she is laying, and any new area you think she will lay

I have a chicken that will do that too. Usually when I find her in the coop by herself I bring her down to the run to be with her fellow chickens. I always give them ( the other chickens ) a treat when she comes down to show when shes around, good things will happen.
When my chicken are secure in their coop, I use disinfecting spray, usually non-scented because I don't want my hens to get agitated with the scent. If you do do this, just make sure your chickens aren't near when you spray anything.
