What's the youngest age to clip wings?

We have 17 chicks total, 5 Araucanas 6 Barred Rock 2 Buff Orpington and 2 Red Star. They're all 15 days old as of today, we have them in our finished basement in a brooder while the chicken coop is being finished. Polish: good layers? yay or nay?

We currently have araucanas and barred rock chicks - we'd like to order some Polish chicks as well. Are some breeds better layers than others? What size are their eggs? Pros and cons would be helpful - we're new to all of this - thank you!

Neighbor threatening to "take out my roosters"

I would make 100% sure I knew where the property line is AND double check your town ordinances. Many towns require that certain "enclosures" such as a coop be within so many feet of property lines. The worst he can do legally is stand there and scowl, next time he waddles on over let him know...

    Dogs and Chicks....

Thank you for asking this question, I've been researching this myself. We have three dogs, one bulldog, one staffordshire terrier, and a pint size 5lb yorkie. They get along great, all three do their best at keeping away unwanted intruders (such as foxes and deer). The staffie is the most...
