    Sneezing Gasping hen

This isn't an emergency, but I think one of my white rocks either has allergies or a cold. I can't post a sound clip of her doing it, but I will try to describe the best I can. It sounds like a sneeze, with an inhaled gasp at the end. She is acting fine, eating fine...just the darn sneeze! No...

I sure wouldn't eat it! Here is info I found on this site. Maybe a match to what is in that egg. Since it look like its in a small clump. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/worms-and-worming. It may not even be close to what is in your egg there, but its at least looking into.

First predator attack and I would like help figuring out what it was.

So sorry to hear about the attack :( We have had opossum get our girls too. That doesn't explain the missing bodies though. Just a thought to keep your eyes open for them too. We recently had a loss where the neck and crop was ripped open. I have no idea what it would have been, but I am...

    Possible vitamin deficiency?? Please Help!

So...I crushed up some vitamin B tabs and put it in my girls food...separated her from the others and she is doing great! She started limping again just a little bit, but I have come to the conclusion that it is has to be from jumping off of the roost in their coop. I am going to work on...

    Possible vitamin deficiency?? Please Help!

Thank you Dawg53! I am willing to do anything to save my girls. I have lost too many (4 to raccoons, 1 to old age) to give up on her. I will go tomorrow to buy some vitamins and keep her isolated. Have you ever dealt with mareks? Does this sound like a symptom? I will also have my husband...

    Possible vitamin deficiency?? Please Help!

I noticed the other day that one of my red sex links was limping. I picked her up to make sure she didn't have bumble foot. Nothing. I felt around on her leg for any signs of dislocation...I'm not a vet and couldn't really tell if the leg was dislocated or not. Now today, I come home from work...

my 3 year old's favorite pet, Buttercup, is lethargic, droopy, with puffed up feathers, won't eat

Thank you all for your concern and advice. My Mawmaw passed away this evening. It sucks. I thought I would share a photo of her...back in her sillier days. She was blind when we brought her home. We had heard about the rose colored glasses people used to put on their chickens a long time ago...I...

my 3 year old's favorite pet, Buttercup, is lethargic, droopy, with puffed up feathers, won't eat

This is horrible. I feel horrible. How can I prevent this from happening to my other girls? What are some of the signs? Mawmaw never limped or gave any sign. She is blind and stayed in a pen all to herself with a nonstop supply of food and water.

my 3 year old's favorite pet, Buttercup, is lethargic, droopy, with puffed up feathers, won't eat

Here is my Mawmaw's foot...I really appreciate all of the advice you all have given. If I can save her...I am going to do what I can. If she is past the point of help....what do I do? If this is bumblefoot, is she suffering? Is she in pain? What do I do? I am just beside myself and have honestly...
