Just checking in as we start the countdown toward actually putting in a coop around here.
We have neighbors interested in sharing the costs of coop & chickens ... and (I) have decided maybe we are not going to use the metal shed we got for free as a coop after all. Still not sure though...
We have changed our minds about the kind of chicken coop we want to build.
I want a cute wooden coop, so we're selling our metal shed.
It's already taken apart, so easy to load up and haul.
You pick up. PM me for location and photo.
Make a reasonable offer.
thanks!
I saw my new doctor yesterday -- an older lady country doctor.
Her whole office is covered in chicken art -- she's got several handmade chicken quilts, and various chicken charts showing the different breeds.
She's got a stuffed Christmas chicken, and chicken paintings and prints all over the...
This is a thread for little stories about the spouse -- mostly DH, but if there's a DW out there that fits the bill, by all means, spill it!
The kids ~n~ marriage thread reminded me of some 'marriage' stories.
I got married 11 years ago to the truly nicest guy in the world.

I'm running out of books!
It's hard to hang about in the library looking for books because of their computer monitors and fluorescent lights ... if you know of a good book, please list it here.
I'd love to be able to keep this thread going.
Here are some excellent books I just read:

Chantilly (our GLW) is finally at her new home as of today!
She will stay with Cham in Springfield until Spring, then we'll travel down to get her and a few of Cham's birds.
Hopefully she'll get used to being held!
She has beautiful coloring. I'll add a pic here later.
WOOTIE-WOO!
My ND told me to start eating sprouts because of their nutrients and easy-digestion status.
I'm hoping somebody out there got a sprouting set for Christmas last year and doesn't use it!
I'm willing to take it off your hands or trade for my 4-tray electric food dryer, or even pay something for...
I'm looking to talk to people who wear titanium glasses frames.
I can't afford to get new glasses every 2 years, so I'm looking to get some frames that will stand the test of time, so I can just get new lenses when my prescription changes.
I'd like to know:
how they wear over a period of...
The Thanksgiving Table contest is so much fun, I thought we could do a Holiday Season Photo Contest.
The general aim is for "Christmas", but of course the "season" includes all ethnic holidays and New Year's.
Nobody is left out -- even if you don't celebrate any of the typical holidays, you...
Very funny story. I wonder if anyone is going to get smart and have one of those turkeys for Thanksgiving?

Seems like almost every movie we watch has a chicken in it! Were they there before and we just never noticed?
Episode 7 of Who's Sam? is about chickens.... it's so funny - there's a hatchet engraved with "The cluck stops here"
