Yes, I have a 1x3 fence for my turkeys and chickens. Last year, some young raccoons squeezed thru the fence and cleaned up on around 14-20 of my birds.
I had so many birds, I actually do not know how many they killed, there was body parts all over the inside and dragged outside as...
I have bourban red and the gobblers gobble almost all the time when noise is made..
If you have heard turkeys gobble before then you will know what to expect..
If you live around an area where other people will complain, you would get it...

Actually I ate couple of my Roos chickens last year while they were still on medicated feed.. They were giving me a problem in the evening time when trying to put them up.. So my 22 stopped their nonsense...
I'm still here... and the birds tasted really good..
As for range...

After 1/2 of mine died last year,, I found an old timer's post on this site where he raised turkeys for years and stated that he only used Medicated chicken feed..
That's what I have been doing this year and the only turkeys I have lost are those crushed by bigger turkey poults jumping...

I've been hatching Bourbon Red Turkey this spring and as the other 2 posters stated same as chickens except 28 days .. I have seen an occassional early bird..
I try to keep the temp near 99.5.. If you see 100 Degrees I back my off just a tad.. Keep my Humidity around 35-45%..

BE CAREFUL where cracking the other eggs.. I was doing that and on about the 3rd or 4th hatching I crack one and that thing blew up on me..

Yes, as the others has stated be sure to move the hen to another place alone.. I left a hen back in March in with the rest of the birds, and what a mess it turned out to be..

After reading couple posts like yours here, what I do with my auto-egg turner is unplug it when the trays are flat when I start the eggs... Hand turn them for one week..
Plug it back in.. I have gotten very good hatchings.. EVEN on last run I lost power in a bad storm for 1 day 3 1/2...

And to add to what Dirt Road just stated... Do you have any Turkeys ..
I have a turkey that I believe might be eating mine.. I seen an egg the other day on the floor broken and that evening every bit was gone.. Not a single little shell bit..
Lách Cnoc Farm :
temp has been fine since i replaced it but got a little low yesterday, around 98.3F.
ETA: how many times a day should i be turning them?
Low Temps are good, hot temps are bad... Think of the birds leaving their nests to eat or scared off nest..
Low temps won't hurt them...

On the Ducks.. They are easy to hatch,, I hatched mine in one incubator with turkeys and chickens.. Same hunidity 35-55 and Temp. 98.5-101.5 .. 28 days.. I try to keep the temps as close to 99.5.. getting Cool is better than overheat.. Hot is bad..
On the Incubators.. If you have...

On my first batch, I had my humidity around 45-55 and the Turkeys and Chickens (same time) hatched better than having the humidity up around 70 on my 2nd and 3rd Incus during the last 3 days..
Although when a lot of them hatched in the 1st Inc. the humidity did spike to 70-80 but they...

Sometimes they peep a day or two before they hatch..
I heard the little peeps under my broody hen back in March couple days before they started hatching.. First time I had heard that under a setting hen..

Mine does that running and then when they get bigger they try to fly thru the wire..
I have had a few kill themselves by hitting the wire to hard (Silly things)
If it's running means that it's eating ok, or it'd stand around in a trace like stance a day before falling over dead...

I have to herd them in the evening .. But usually not to difficult..
When they want to be difficult I just leave mine out and hope they will stay on the pond for protection from Preds..
