Thanks everyone. Turns out that just a few weeks ago she looked like she was waddling -- her abdomen was filled with fluid. We took her to a vet and they put her down: she had ascites and liver cancer. :-(

Thank you! I'm not sure this is now the answer. Her crop was full of liquid yesterday but didn't smell bad. This morning I vomited her and scratch came out at first. Then this thicker sludge, like tan mud! Perhaps this is a yeast infection in her crop??? Any ideas?

I can't for the life of me find any dosing for how much of the Scours Tablets to give to an adult hen. It says each tablet contains 250mg of oxytetracycline HCL. Can anyone help?

Thanks! I suspect, after looking closely, it hatched prematurely. It looked full grown but its eyes were sealed shut, the yolk sac wasn't absorbed and there was blood veining all around the inside shell:-( I noticed one fluffy chick under her when I went back to visit, and I got to see one...
