DAEMON RUNNING
My coups:
1. Chknshk #1
I have previously posted schematics of the design, but since cleaned those up. It's 8x12 insulated with a 12x16 enclosed run. This coup has electricity with built in light to prolong laying season and regular outlets for water heaters/fans...
Out of my 3 dogs:
1. Fox Terrier - avoid like a plague unless you want an unruly killer of all things.
2. Jack Russell Terrier - lazy and hard to discipline. Great companion for kids and fenced yards. Loving breed.
3. Siberian Husky / Wolf-dog - best friend you'll ever have in your whole life...
Actually, to divert a bit off-topic here... would any/all Canadians be interested in a private, member login only site where they can list their for-sale/trade/free stock?
I have background in Soft. Eng. so putting something together isn't an issue. I just want to know if you would be...

Don't get your hopes up. They are notoriously unreliable when it comes to non-battery birds. This year out of an order for 10 breeds he could fill just 2. None of the game birds. You would be much better off ordering from Rochester Hatchery in Alberta or sourcing locally.
BTW. You...
I have a batch of layers growing up currently and coturnix eggs in the incubator. It's never too late to set a batch, so long as you can keep them warm enough until they feather out and gradually change their temperature as you put them outside (so not to shock their systems).
I expect my...
I make money from selling eggs. About ~120$ a month or so. This offset by the cost of feed for the month ~50$ give or take leaves me with a nifty sum to account for the initial coup & flock cost.
We are a year into the chicken adventure and about close to break even on the costs if you look...

It looks like abuse case to me. Of course far be it for me to say anything about the boys current mental status, but I would wager that he's unlikely to re-offend unless provoked.
You mentioned to the point where he had to re-load the rifle number of times to keep shooting. That shows...
A good bit of info to add to your post would be the circumstances of the shooting...
What the boy abused? Molested? beaten?... Sold for sex?
Many things will make a person snap.

Personally I think you did what you should. You mailed the eggs. They arrived intact.
You cannot control the weather (or the mailman ). If the buyer decided to get eggs shipped to her when there is possibility of freezing weather, well, they took a chance.
Back in October I have ordered...
no ...but it inspired one of the greatest metal albums of all time!
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ongj71tcLQ0!!
There are may other references in music, but as far as the number being 'cursed' or 'evil'... It's the same as the pentagram or...
I don't know how this works in the States, but here in Canada you have 14 days on purchases over $100 to make up your mind. It's called 'buyers remorse law' or something along those lines.
Basically, if you buy a big ticket item, and you find that it does not perform to your liking OR that you...
... And also according to a friend of a friend of mine you can get cancer by sitting outside even on a cloudy day.
Don't get him started on cellphone towers and wireless routers
I also have it on good authority that branches can take out your eye! Let's just say I'd take it with a box of salt...
I have a pair which don't free range and cohabit with the chickens. They lay in the same box (started last week).
The eggs are a lot more pointy than chicken eggs. Very easy to spot.

I am actually helping a friend of mine install hardwood over concrete later on this spring. There is a couple types that will work with concrete. You don't nail them, you glue them down.
I can ask my flooring guy for the types if you wish.
Good luck. And remember, crowbars fly back...
