At this time I have no idea what your actual cost for the board is with the amount of members we already have & the features we've got so far. Why not ask each member (not mandatory membership) to donate at least $12 a year that most would otherwise pay for ezsupporter to go into the new BYC...

Actually when that chicken coop book was written she joined the BYC forum at ezboard & asked members for pics of their coop setup. The book info was basically taken off the ezboard site & so was the still life with chickens.

At two weeks you should definatly see chicks if they've developed. The infertile or frozen eggs should look clear.

It's pretty standard that they be put down. They'll never be able to live a normal life with just 'regular' chickens. Now, on the occassion that you hatch one & not use it for fighting they can sometimes grow up normal. But, after they've been fought that's all they know. JMHO

roflmao@wagon!! I just put 4 of my chicks back outside in the garage. It got cold this past week & lost several of my 1 month olds so I brought the rest back in the house until the weather got better. Had a lamp on them but guess it wasn't enough.

I'm pretty much still a kid at heart & like to goof off & act like a Ditz sometimes. Also, i'd forget my head if it weren't connected to me. So, I came up with DitzzyChic.

I don't use DE & never have. My son also has allergies & asthma. The dust from the chickens is enough to choke him up. I don't need to add something to make it worse. JMHO
