My egg layer has become broody sitting in the nesting box all day and night for the last couple of days unless I kick her out. I have taken away the nesting box to break the broodiness and I assume the runny poos are normal for broody hens and will clear up...
Anything else I should be doing?
Thanks. Just trying to figure out how old my bantam Cochin is.
Re purring: she seemed to be really contented and enjoying herself. Maybe it just like a cat...
arent they!
penny is a bantam coachin who we found wondering the streets (specifically the front yard), and Amy is a standard coachin cross who we bought for company. they are pets more than anything but Amy produces eggs so thats a bonus :D
Penyy is very friendly and doesnt mind being picked...
so about a 1/4 cup a day each... good, i am on track.
they also get treats but not daily.
one is post egg production (i think) the other just into egg production.
scratch? one of my loves a scratch on the neck or back... the other not so much :p (whats scratch)
it seems to me like 90% of the world is into photoragphy in one form or another these days... and so i join the ranks.
I dont have any photos of my chooks yet but heres some photos i have taken. I of course have more on my website www.natures-gift.net
I shoot anything but people! :p
