Looking to getour hands on the following. If anyone has these or knows where to get them please let me know. If they can be sexed female, even better.

2 Opington
3 Chantecler
3 Plymouth Rock
Think I'll have to hit a hatchery or the mt forest F n F show next month.
Thanks in advance...
HI all,
We just bought small farm 30 mins NE of Toronto. Building my first Chicken condo within a few weeks and now looking to buy some nice egg layers.
The more colours the better but obviously quality is the most important.
If you are near the Toronto area and wish to share your beautiful...
Hi all,
Just wanted to share that we have started a blog about our adventure into moving from the downtown core to starting a Hobby Farm in Southern Ontario.
I'm not a professional writer and have never done a blog before but it may be entertaining in a train wreck kind of way. Be gentle with...
So avoid Performance and Freys? is that the general idea around here?
I need some chicks in spring so I'm on an active search for a place that stands up.
Anyone have positive Hatcheries they have dealt with in southern Ontario?
Thanks all
I will be ordering some day olds in the spring of 2013, the issue is I only want 10 or 12 so is anyone would like to split a 25 (from performance) with me please let me know. I live just north of the GTA in Ontario... I dont care who they are from if you have someone you prefer. I only want a...
Hi all,
If anyone in southern ontario would be willing to sell me a few day olds in the spring please PM me.
Goal chicks would be
EE's
Orpinton's
Cantecler's
and/or Plymouth Rocks.
Or any other rather docile, cold hardy dual purpose breed with a unique egg which you really like, would be...

ie:
2 EE's
2 Opington
3 Chantecler
3 Plymouth Rock
or whatever. Would getting them all at the same time be too difficult because not one...
Will any oyster shells work here?
We own a waterfront property on a fresh water lake and have tons of clam and or oyster shells wash upon the beach.
If fresh water can I pound and feed them to the birds with same benefit?
Thanks
RF
I may contact you/them when I have my coop built. If I can get some good chickens here without the paperwork and stress/risk to the chickens all the better. It will be a winter palace for the chickens when done but not sure I am ready to hatch eggs as of yet...
Still have the bee hive to set...
Thanks for your reply.
The idea is to build the unit as seen basically, with removable panels (including ventilation consideration) to cover the enclosed run on all sides during winter. I'll pop them off during summer.
In time, I may add a small door on front and back in the run when I decide...
I understand your feelings about international shipping. I do the over border shipping address myself but that situation is just unfortunate and careless. Believe me when I say it's not the typical Canadian. Once my coop is ready and I have some experience I will look into the idea again. Thanks...
HI all,
Just a couple questions before I build my first coop for winter.
I am planning to build a winterized version of this unit here:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/chicksntexas-coop
She claims the coop itself to be 8 x 10 and 7ft tall, I'll assume 8 front to back and 10 wide...
