My Sussex hen, Bonnie, laid her first egg today! Can you believe it? The lady I bought her from said she hatched in June, so that makes her around 6 months-ish. It's so small!

Thank you so much for the replies! I knew what the combination of breeds they are, I was just wondering if anyone here actually HAD one/some and if they did have one/some if they really were good layers and if the size of the eggs actually were only a medium size.

since Modesto Milling is just a few miles away, I went to the source and picked up a 50# bag of soy/corn free mash and a 25# bay of soy free scratch.

just because it is labeled "organic" do NOT mean it's non-GMO. Organic simply means it was grown with out the use of pesticides and herbicides, and contains at least 95% Organic ingredients. The other 5% could be GMO and non organic ingredients. Search for 100% organic and look the for...
