Dear all, I'm having a rat problem in my coop. First I killed for with traps but then it stopped and it seems the population is growing. Placed a poison box outside the coop but they mainly stay inside. I'm now trying this baking soda recipe...has anyone tried it (baking soda + flour + sugar)...

In fact, more or less: Mid august..about one week after I bought her.

Well, I bought her the first week of august, back then she was about 16-18; so perhaps 22 weeks but not younger than that..She did start sitting on the fake egg in her coop though (yesterday).

Recovered and now 21 weeks. Hopefully eggs soon.

Put her inside, in the house, warm and dry. Gave clean water + feed,she did drink and eat now. Hope she gets well.

Dear all, I think I just found out what causes it. My wife just told me she fed her some raw meat yesterday (!). One should never do that as it can hold all sort of bacteria of course! I put her inside her house, refreshed the water (some apple vinegar in it) and removed the droppings I could...

Thank you for your replies. She is not walking a lot now; she just sits there, eyes closed. The eyes are clear, no discharge. Is the Coccidiosis deadly? I don't have access to a shop right now, anything else that could help?

Dear all, I bought a really beautiful wyandotte two weeks ago but since a few days she practically stopped eating and is just sitting there, asleep outside. When it rains she doesn't even go inside for shelter. She's 20 weeks old now, no eggs yet. I just wonder what it would be? She does not...

This is my new Silver laced Wyandotte pullet , 18 weeks old. She is acting a bit weird, making noise all the time...hope it announces the first egg!

Dear all, are these pullets or cockerels? A while ago, also on this website, I was told they were pullets. This morning at sunrise: kuckelekuuuuu...are they just being noisy? They fight a few times a day, and they're about 5 months...no eggs yet...
