    Chickens eat Anacharis?

Can chickens eat Anacharis? I have tons in my pond and would think it would be a great free source of nutrients for them, if it indeed good for them.

    Giving baby back

Momma does fine with the other 8 chicks. It is just the one that hatched out after she got off the nest and I had to bring it into the garage for the first night and then I put it back out with the others. She was fine with it for the first 4-5 days and has suddenly turned on it. If I take it...

    Giving baby back

I'm sad that after 5 days, she has decided to reject this baby. She has scared it under the coop and pecks at it when it tries to come out. I can't get to her and even when I tried to give her food through the wiring, she gets scared and runs from me :(

    Giving baby back

Thanks. I decided to give it a try today and I went into the coop with her and after awhile, I put her down next to me. They all looked so much bigger than her, even though they are only a couple of days ahead. I checked on them several times today and they all seem to be getting along fine :)

    Giving baby back

I have a first time hen who left the nest before all the eggs were hatched. She has 8 chicks and seems to be doing a good job with them. Green legged white chicken

She came from my Pet Chicken. After looking at pictures that we send them, they can't even tell us what she is! The other 5 that we ordered were the right breeds.

    Green legged white chicken

We ordered an appenzeler spitzhauben and the chick we got is now 13 weeks old. She is not an AS, but she is white also with green legs. She has no muffs though. We can't figure out what she is either.

My chicken crowed today is she a he?

We had the same thing happen to us. I kept holding out hoping she was a crowing hen, but he started getting his saddle feathers and we knew for sure. Also, he had gotten much better at his crowing and did it all the time.

Madison County, AL? -- Legal in county, but deed restricted :(

I live in the county and it is legal to have chickens. Our subdivision is ok with it also. I recently gave my rooster away because we didn't want to distrub the neighbors, but I know the lady a couple of streets over has a rooster and I hear another one close by some times.
