Personally I wasn't to successful with peeling the eggs. cant help you there. I did use eggs which we about a week all so that may have helped. I'm sure practice is one of the best things you can do.
Here is my second huge egg like this, looks like two eggs fused together to me. It is next to a quarter and extra large.
Here is the "seam"
Thought it was cool to see this, hard boiled double yolker.
And here is my rubber egg. It wasn't deflated like this when it was freshly layed but that happened in the fridge. I was really fascinated by its squishyness lol
Sorry. I could only upload one at a time. This is the one next to the extra large egg and quarter. Those two eggs make the quarter look tiny. I measured the egg and it is 2 3/4 inches long! No way that's fitting in the cartoon!
Today I got my second "super super jumbo duel egg" as I call them. From what I can tell it is two eggs fused together. The last one had three yolks. I know that my hens layed 8 for 8 yesterday so I dont know why it looks like two eggs together. Can anyone figure why this would happen? The one...
This year I bought chickens and am wanting to take them as a project at the county fair this year. Part of judging is to bring my two chickens and have them in a small cage for the week. The week of the fair is the last week of July so it gets pretty hot. I am wondering if going from...
Would it be ok if I let them go into the coop at night? If so how do I get them to go in at night? I couldn't just leave the door open all night because that would be pointless. Do I need to add a chicken door to the coop?
Well I don't know anything about the peeling feet but my ducks are screamers too. I found the way to there heart is peas! They LOVE peas! Keep in though they need grit (sand) to help digest anything but crumbles. Have fun!
And I'm sure they don't hate you. They are most likely just scared.
I have four 6-week old pekins and 8 chicks the same age. The ducks are making a huge mess in the coop so I want to move the ducks out to the pond A.S.A.P. They would be considered free-ranging but most of the time I think they will stay on the pond. I am wondering if they are old enough and if...
Today we moved our 4 ducklings and 8 chicks from the brooder to coop. They really enjoyed the extra space! It is going to snow tonight and will get down to about 29*. I noticed that this evening the were a huddled in a tight circle under the heat lamp. So adorable! I was wondering if they're to...
