I had planned to butcher my first duck tomorrow and now find they are definitely molting. They are about 9 weeks old. I have two reference books one of which states in bold print that the meat is no good if they are molting. Is this true? Thanks for your help.

This is a repeat post - didn't know there was a separate section. A few minutes ago I found all - four ducklings (5 weeks old) outside the garden area. I believe that Topknot has eaten buttercups. She is having spasms at the bottom of her throat and keeps lifting her head and open her beak...

All four escaped the garden enclosure and I think may have eaten buttercups. Topknot is having spasms at the bottom of her throat and opening her mouth wide - if she was human I would think she was trying to throw up. Are they poisonous, is there anything I can do? This has just happened.
