    Yes he is eating, drinking, pooping, and certainly crowing normally! I'm just worried. Although he did have frostbite on his wattles also. Thank you for your input. It REALLY helps!

    Sine he can lift his neck he may not have a broken neck. I would suggest disinfecting the wounds, and make sure he is eating and drinking to heal. make sure not to disturb his wounds to much!

    I am a first time chicken owner and love my 5 chickens very much. My Brown leghorn rooster recently got frostbite, when the freezing months reached -4 degrees. We kept him inside and put the temp up in the room he was in. We kept the temperature high enough for him to heal, but not to high...

    No don't worry most chickens are afraid of the owners. I personally think chickens just don't like to be picked up. Whenever i walk into the pen, my chickens run away because they know i want to hold them. But whenever they stray to far when ranging, when i walk close to them they run tword me...
