    6 month old hen- mareks??

    Is it possible to have your chicks make it thru being exposed to mareks just to succumb to it once they reach the age to lay? All the other chickens are about the same age and this one suddenly can't walk around anymore. Her right foot has no response and no resistance when you mess with it.

    Do chicks like to just "cook" under a heat lamp

    Thanks everyone, I have moved the 250 watt light higher up. They still seem to like sitting in the heat, but they're not panting anymore. I think I have two chicks that are 3 weeks and 4 little ones maybe 2 weeks old. Its the 3 week olds that were panting. Thanks again!
