    Putting chickens out for the first night, should I use a heat lamp?

    I live in Washington State also and have my 3 week old chics in a chicken coop with a heat lamp. I'm in Port Ludlow and our nights have been in the low to mid forties. Now I wonder if they need it on all the time or only at night...
