Some more info: bedding is aspen that covers newspaper ( could she be eating the newspaper?), water has ACV and GSE in it and regular chick feed is what she's been eating. She is about three weeks old and is a buff Orpington

I think I have an outside thermometer around here somewhere I can put in there......it's def hotter in there than it should be. Thank you the help with the temp info. I'll have to find that thermometer.

We got our chicks from a local feed store. I don't know where they got them from, they were about three days old when we got them. They are about three weeks old.

I raised the lamp way high and moved it. So that it doesn't shine over the entire box. They moved around a bit and settled back down. I also turn the ceiling fan in the living room on low.

It must be hotter in the box the I thought, I just checked and can see condensation in the jar attached to their watere.

We have a heat lamp over them It's above their box but it shines throughout the whole box, so no they don't have a place to escape. I can readjust the light if the will help. Do I need to keep it on all the time. They are in my living room and the past few nights haven't been all that cold...
