Bantam assorted timeline- guess the breed and sex

Mess is cracking me up! Love the name. For what it's worth, I have a pullet that looks just like Mess in size, body shape, feather development, etc. She is a different color but also has the big legs and no comb or wattle development. I got her at TSC so I bet we have the same bird, just...

    Pretty Pullets

Edna might be a red cochin? She looks fluffy enough to be one :)

What breed and gender is this?!

Very interesting thread. My guess would be amberlinked are simply hybrids since hybrid birds tend to lay larger eggs. But since they're not sex linked, I think we have as much a shot at picking a roo as a pullet. I also wonder if my TSC incorrectly labeled the bin with amberlinks as sex linked...

Our little Chicken family is growing -- any guesses on the breed, sex?

Cute babies :) Perhaps the red is a gold sex link? I have two and one is redder than the other. And the white could be a Rhode Island White? I've got an adult and she is a lovely bird.

Can't possible be a roo right?

Ugh. I have two that look just like yours, white with the red on their wings. I got them from the pullet bin at TSC, but I guess they could have been sexed incorrectly. Waiting to hear a crow or get an egg!

    What Breed are these Chicks?

Hmmm, with those slate legs I would say Old English Game Bantam? If its earlobes are white, then it's a Dutch Game Bantam.

Splash silkie - boy or girl??

I say pullet, too, although my white silkie pullet kept me guessing until she laid an egg! I like those splash markings; very pretty :)

    What bantam breed?

I think silkie, too. She has the right color beak. Are her legs black and does she have five toes?

Can someone tell me what breed these chicks are?

I think the EE are supposed to have a beard and/or muffs, even at this age, and I can't tell if your striped baby has that. Too cute, though!

Bantam assorted timeline- guess the breed and sex

I think the little black one is a black Old English Game Bantam? If you go to Ideal Poultry they have good pictures/drawings of baby chick breeds and colors.

    What is this precious angel?

Thanks! My oldest daughter is excited because she really wanted an OEGB. I think we have four in total, so she's thrilled :)

    What is this precious angel?

I went a bit overboard at TSC and bought 15 new babies to love. Got one silky and several bantam cochins/brahmas, but I got several clean-legged bantams and I don't know what they are. Well, I know they're adorable but interested to see what they grow into. And another shot: Pretty...
