My 17 month old hen is going though a molt and it appears to be a stressful one. She noticeably has lost weight, her comb isn't as red and her face is very pale. She hasn't showed any signs if sickness or disease and is behaving normally. What can I do to help her through her molt?
Any ideas...
My ISA Brown is 16 months old and is only laying 2 eggs a week. I'm from Australia so it's winter here. Is this normal for an ISA Brown? I know ISA Brown's lay 300 eggs in their first year of egg laying but my ISA has only been laying for 10 months. I know egg production slows in winter but is...
I had a 14 month old leghorn pullet who passed away around 1 1/2 months ago. One day she appeared to have an injured leg. She limped when she walked otherwise everything else was normal. The next couple of days after that she got worse. She couldn't walk at all, was breathing through her beak...
I have a light sussex pullet that is around 18 weeks old. She is going through a partial moult and the new feathers look yellowish instead of white like her current feathers.
Any Ideas?
My question is if I were to have a Silkie roo in the city, would he be loud enough to disturb neighbors? Please give me comparisons as in for example a roo is as loud as a cars alarm system. Thanks in advance for any help.
I can't take a picture because the roo is at my aunts house. It's 2 years old, has black eyes, all white neck feathers, all black body feathers, is skinnyish and has a comb and wattles very similar to the one in this picture
I have a 14 month old leghorn who I think is sick. She lays on her side all day and doesn't walk. She is eating and drinking but not as much as usual. If I try to make her stand up, she instantly falls over either to the left, right or backward. She is breathing through her beak. Her poo is normal
I have 14 month old leghorn who is very ill. She can't walk properly and is very unbalanced. She just sits on her side in one spot all day and eats very little. She keeps on shaking her left leg. Her poo is normal.
