Number 1:
Number 2:
Number 3:
Number 4: total wingnut, haven’t been able to get it to stand still yet.
Two of these are supposed to go to a neighbor, but we live in the city so no Roos allowed. Hoping to catch any before they start crowing… 😆
Picked up 4 ‘Wyandotte’ labeled pullets at TSC and wondering what they will look like as adults? Too soon to tell? Two have lighter, rusty heads (top pic) and two have darker, black heads with less facial marking (bottom). They’re just starting to feather.
I can’t be held liable for being good at chicken math, right??
Even if my partner is like…
Since we had a lower than expected hatch rate in the incubator and already had four 2 day old chicks, what’s a few more?
New to incubating bird eggs and could not tell much from candling my shipped chicken eggs on day 1. How many days in the incubator before they make it known that they are definitely bad? I'm on day 3 and worried because none of them smell yet, but they can't all have made it ok. Thanks in advance.

You've heard it all before, no doubt, but it's new to me....
I bought 6 "pullets" from TSC a few weeks ago and now that they are feathering and growing like weeds.... "one of these things is not quite like the other". Sorry for the bad phone pics, I can get better ones if needed. Here is what...
Hello All,
I've been searching the threads but haven't found one that quite covers my issue. I live in a residential house on 1/4 acre, neighbors on two sides and canal bank behind. I have 6 foot fences surrounding the backyard at the moment. My 6 girls are still little fuzzbutts, but I'm...
Hi All,
I've been a lurker here for the last few months and, as of yesterday, am the proud "mama hen" to 6 of the most adorable little fuzz butts on the planet. I live in Fresno, CA and have been a longtime gardener, so I'm so happy to finally be adding chickens to the mix! I look forward to...
