I'm finally moving the chicks to the garage brooder tonight. My silkies and lav orps are starting to feather nicely! I'll make sure to post pics later!
I also found since coop design with split runs that will fit up to 30 chickens...I may succumb to chicken math...
Here is an example, this particular egg had a hole and when I cracked it open it was perfectly fine. Every egg she has laid since coming to live with me has these odd patches of roughness, some patches rub right off. The eggs all look fine when cracked open and they taste fine when eaten.
I have a hen that I adopted recently and she keeps laying eggs with rough spots. This keeps happening and I don't know why. Any advice would be much appreciated.
