    I'm new to chickens, and Saturday we got some one year old Rhode Island Reds. We think one of the hens has gone broody. She burried her eggs in the straw in the nesting box and she's been sitting all morning. Is she broody or something else?

    Breed? Male? Female? Help?

    This is my sister's chicken, we've been calling "him" Freddie, but after some research we're starting to believe "he" is actually a "she." And when we bought "him" they said he was a Silkie, but now we're thinking he may be a Polish. Could somebody help us?
