What is green thin poop a symptom of?

I have one hen who has been having thin green poop over the last week or so (photo below). She is a 9 year old bantam Easter egger, and one of the smallest of the flock of five assorted hens. The other hens seem to have normal poop. She seems to be acting normally as far as I can tell...

my chicken has one very swollen eye and cheek

We actually didn't start her on the antibiotic eye drops, since it didn't seem infected at the time. We have some on hand, in case it gets worse. I'm not sure about the tumor; there is still a lump in her cheek, but maybe because it is on the outside it's shifted? We didn't have the vet send...

my chicken has one very swollen eye and cheek

We have been keeping an eye on Violet, and the swelling seems to have gone down. She still has a lump in her cheek I can feel, but it doesn't seem to be impairing anything so far. She is back with her flock, and seems to be doing alright. I am feeding them slightly fermented feed now, because...

my chicken has one very swollen eye and cheek

The vet suggested antibiotic drops and keeping it clean, because the tumor can easily block tear ducts, sinuses, ear, and can get infected. She can go back in with her flock, but make sure she isn't getting too picked on, and is getting enough to eat and drink, since her cross beak already...

my chicken has one very swollen eye and cheek

Update: I found a vet who would see her, and diagnosis is a tumor. They aspirated some cells, and got red blood cells and some dividing cells, but not white blood cells nor signs of bacteria nor an abscess.

my chicken has one very swollen eye and cheek

Thanks for the advice. The vet won't see her because of the outbreak of Virulent Newcastle Disease. For removing the pus, is it best to squeeze, or will using a sterile needle to drain it work?

my chicken has one very swollen eye and cheek

My 6 yr old bantam frizzle cochin hen has a very swollen eye and cheek. It doesn't seem to have much discharge, but it is tender and warm. Two days ago I cleaned around it with a wet paper towel and flushed it with saline and tried to put some antibiotic ointment around it. Yesterday morning I...

Hello NorCal chicken friends! I was wondering if I could get your advice. One of my hens has a very swollen eye and cheek. It doesn't seem to have much discharge, but it is tender and warm. Yesterday I flushed it with saline and tried to put some antibiotic ointment around it, and this...

Hello all! I have not been on here for a while, but my six bantam hens are five years old and laying well after their winter break. Elanor is currently broody, crossbeak Violet is still doing well, Sybil is the most social, Edith is low on the pecking order, and Rosie and Mary are at the top...

I know about feeling too scared to trim! What I ended up doing was taking my Violet to the vet for the first trim, and watching closely how they did it, and asking questions. I've been trimming her beak on my own since (she's almost 4.5 years old now). Tools I use: Towel to wrap her in...

I had fun last year! And my niece had a great time in the pool. We love our egg skelter I won at the raffle! Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend this year... I have San Francisco Symphony tickets that afternoon. But maybe another year! :)

I like the quail pen! I'm causing trouble and suggesting to my sister that they should get quail, since they're small... For my watering system, I just leave the bucket mounted to the fence, and fill it with a hose.

I was coming home from errands this morning, and saw a sign for our community garden plant sale and tour. So I went by and visited all the garden beds and heard about the bees and talked to them about their chickens. They are thinking of getting some more chickens, so I sent them over here to...

Diary of a Crossbeak: Support for Special Needs Chickens and their Keepers

I'm so sorry your girl has developed a cross beak! Best of luck deciding what will be best for everyone. My girl Violet, a frizzle cochin bantam, still seems happy and healthy (except for the crossbeak). She is 1.5 years old. Her weight is stable. I file her beak at nighttime...
