    I have 3 welsummers, 1 ameraucana,and 1 buff orpington, all one year old i found a small pile of grey ameraucana feathers but she seems to be fine. I dont know where they came from? The ameraucana just started laying again so idk

    I have a two 23 week old buff orpingtons they have not started laying yet. The days are becoming shorter will she lay at all this year? Do i need to start putting a light out there? thanks

    This is what i have use. Works great easy clean. I suggest a little chicken wire on top. I had gone into the room to find a few perched on the sides of the tote haha.

    8 point comb??

    Hi everyone i have 2 welsummer roosters about 17 weeks. The one has a normal 5 point comb, However the other has a 7 or 8 point comb?( i couldn't get him to stand still to count well). Is this normal? i haven found anything talking about extra points. Thanks.

    Thanks I'm going to try that! Yes sadly the first attack occurred in the coop a raccoon came in and grabbed the smallest weakest pullet and my dominant hen jumped on it! Sadly it killed her for defending her flock! After that I started shutting and locking the door at night.
