Sorry I did not see this in December. Been tied up with breeding Connemara ponies.
Neve could get anything out of them. No callbacks or return emails. Sold them on Craigs wit a caveat to the buyers. Never heard back form either buyer so I guess maybe they had better luck than I did.
Thanks so much. Kind of the reply I was looking for. Sounds like your situation is very close to mine here in Colorful Colorado!! I will try keeping my next hatch attempt in that humidity range. I have always worried about the dry hatch process because it's so dry here to begin with...
I hear that a lot online. Not what I have experienced at all unfortunately. All the positives you mentioned are what I am having issues with. I have one set at 100 deg and the other at 101.5 just to keep them close to the 99.5 deg they recommend. Humidity is off by anywhere from 2 to 5 degrees...
Sally Sunshine has a very detailed plan on here to build a DIY one. I priced it out once and I think the pieces and parts came out between $200 and $250 as I recall. My problem is time between actual work and farm work. I would love to get a Dickey's or a GQF Sportsman but they are both pretty...
Foundation stock came from an Ameraucana breeder in Texas. The eggs are all ours laid in Colo. I have wondered if that shell porosity (not sure that's a word) issue is determined by where the hen is born or their current location. Incubator is in a room with no drafts and kept at about 72 deg...
Nurture Right 360's are hit and miss. I bought two (different vintages) this Spring and have had very unsatisfactory results. Temp s vary greatly on both. Had to get a new humidistat from MannaPro on one. Still not very accurate. Out of over 100 eggs I have had about 10 hatch. I know these are...
We are incubating eggs in Colorado at about 6200 ft Elevation. Using Nurture Right 360's that most people rave about but I am not particularly happy with them. Hard keeping the temp stable and lots of hot and cold spots. Have to monitor it constantly.
That being said, I keep losing my viable...
Having much the same issues. 1 unit I have the the heater stops working intermittently. Of course, the alarm is on in the AM when I go into check so I have no idea how long the temp has been 3 Deg. off. The second unit I own. the tmp ranges from 97 deg up to 100.5 according to the thermometer I...
On my 3rd hatch now with a 360. Have not done well with either unit I own. I am ahving the same experience as you 2-4 duds. Others look viable. Most give up at between 5 and 10 days. I have had 3, 2, 2 hatch. Air cells never got very big even on the hatchers. We are at about 6500 FT in...
Sorry, just saw this. I bought it about a month ago now. They are in very short supply right now so if you find one you are blessed.
The older models have like 6 square holes that go up into the fan housing. Pretty obvious that a chick will be able to get their beaks up in there. Newer models...
Communicating with Johnny at Manna Pro is useless. Wrote him once about finding out about whether the older model of the Nurture 360 I purchased at Tractor Supply needed the retrofits for the fan housing and the humidistat. He did get back to me after a couple days asking for a pic of the inside...

Yeah they are my own eggs so I should be good. First time with this incubator. Prior tries have been with foam incubators and my hatch rates were horrible with those. I think I will just follow the Mfg instructions and hopefully I will have better results. Thanks for the reply!!
Been taking the elevation factor into consideration also. Plug was pulled day 10 like they said. When I candled on day 14 looked like I had 18 of 26 that still looked viable. It's definitely trial and error up here in the clouds. I am at 6200 ft above sea level. Lock down is tomorrow so I will...
This from the incubation suggestion on the lead page of this thread. I have not had a lot of luck hatching eggs in the past so I am trying to follow the info on page one of this thread as closely as I can to see if the results are better. There is a study noted on the post link below but I have...
