I have a Wellsummer hen that has a swollen face and swollen waddles. Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong with her? She is still eating and drinking but I have isolated her. I dont want the rest of my chickens to look like that. I have never seen anything like this before.

Thanks to all that have welcomed me. We love our birds and all of their babies. Does any one out there know much about Blue splash marans? We now have about 20 of them. We got 5 splash with our hatch this weekend I have looked them up but they do not seem to be a common bird.

Hi everyone. Hope today is going well for all . Our last set of eggs hatched this weekend. We ended up with 50 babies. Mostly black marans a few blue marans and 4 blue splash. Now we have over 300 chickens babies and adults. Whew

We have over 200 babies right now and 80 supposed to hatch this week end. they are eating us out of house and home any suggestions for baby food? lol

Awesome!! the orpington will be your favorite of all. They are very gentle. Silkie's are sweet as well. Hope your barred rock isn't a roo. They can be mean. Just speaking from experience. Wonderful to hear that you are involving your children they will love them. good luck
