When my hens began laying, i began getting a maximum of 4 eggs a day. A couple weeks later i began.getting 3 or less every day. I don't own the parents. We orderd them off ebay, so we really dont have any idea of the parents conditions. We alrrady had a small mic flock of coturnix, but did not have any Texas A&M. This was yet another attempt to hatch some. Diffrent breeder than our original birds.

It seems like my last hatch of babies was much less sensitive. Only lost a couple of them. Used diffrent breeders for each, so maybe just a more sensitive line of quail. The ones that are healthy, seem very very healthy, should i seperate the qeustionable ones out?

I have egg yolks in there for them. Been exchanging them for fresh ones daily, but there were definatly alot of probleMs throughout incubation. Just alot of temp fluctuation (going to try a diffrent location next time). I double checked the temp under my heat bulb, and was reading a little low...

I wiah i could tell how my eggs were developing. Stupid spotty quail eggs! Cant see a thing. When i moved them off the turner though, some seemed a little light, and sone seemed particularly heavy. Dunno what that means, but its probably not good, lol

I have 94 A&M coturnix hatching (hopefully) Saturday. I was supposed to have 120 eggs, but unfortunatly, usps thought it said football instead of fragile, so after removing crushed eggs, trying our best to gently scrub the dried crusty egg off the others, and making the outside cats very happy...

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced pigeons in Iowa, or more so around the fremont county area? Im looking for just some random birds, no particular breeds, but fancy fliers are always top of my favorite list.
