I know. My sister wanted to make a coop like that. I told her if she wanted it then she would have to pay for it. I think one of the SMALL ones cost like 1000 dollars. She said she would save up for it when she got her own chickens.
Sorry about your lost chicken. I keep my chick laying hens it that coop. I built a small run around it. During mating season I put my hen and roster in there and then when my hen lays her eggs I will take the rooster out and let the hen rais her chicks. It is amazing when she takes them outside...
I think it looks good. How many chickens do you have. What kind are they. I built a coop like that and used plywood for the sides and sturdier wood and shingles for the roof. I would send you a pic but it doesn't work on my computer.
I hope he is still ok. If you can will you send me a pic of the cute little thing. If he isn't limping any more he should be fine but you should get. Vet to look at him in case of a internal injury
I used to live not far from you. Then I moved to ky. I got a big farm and now have 13 chickens 5 chicks 3 dogs a few barn cats and 1 silly horse an pony
I have two pekin ducks. The follow me around everywhere. In the morning when I let them out of the coop they flap their wings and run to the lake. They are best friends and love to play tag. They talk to each other too. When I first let them outside the chatted away it was funny.
