Can anyone critique my little pullet and cockerel for me? They were hatched from some eggs that I got from eBay that were purported to be Ameraucana, so of course I expect that they might be EEs. They are around 19 weeks old. Thanks!
Is there any way to tell the sex of these 2? I posted the pic of the second one a few days ago but got no replies. The breeder that I got the eggs from said they are ameraucana. Thanks!
I hatched it from a shipped egg. I bought some that were advertised as Ameraucanas and also some barnyard mixes. I was away from home when they all hatched, and my husband just put them all in the brooder together. I haven't got an "eye"yet for what different breeds are supposed to look like...
Hello fellow Arkansans! I thought I'd introduce myself. I divide my time between Little Rock for school during the week, and El Dorado, which is home on weekends. My husband hooks down the fort and takes care of my peeps during the week. Right now I've got just a few hens-a Welsummer, an...
I know it's been a while, but I thought I'd update on my chicks hatched this summer. All 4 that have black feet are hens and all 4 with yellow are cockerels. The little hens are excellent layers of tiny little eggs. Their eggs are much smaller than their mom's.
My favorite of the 8 we hatched. I'm in love with her/his coloring. Has dark skin and feet, so I'm crossing my fingers that the skin color theory holds out.
I will definitely keep you updated on the sex of the chicks. The daddy is a white silkie and tr mom is the buff brahma. I kept turning the other eggs (except the ones within 3 days of their hatch date). Also, the newly hatched chicks ran all over them and knocked them around anyways, lol. And...
This is Ranger my buff brahma banty hen. I'm actually not sure if she's full brahma, as I got her as a chick from my mom last summer and all of her flock runs together.
All 8. They range in age from 3 days to 2 weeks. We did everything wrong in hatching eggs-we just put a new egg in there every time our hen laid one. We opened the top a million times (hand turning) and we kept the humidity high as soon as they started hatching. We were lucky to have 100% hatch...
