    Saxony drake injured call duck

I have two drakes- 1 huge Saxony and 1 call drake. They are not fighting too much. It's the Saxony drake that is biting one of my female call ducks head and not letting go. He's not even on top of her trying to do the mating thing. It looks like he's just trying to bite her head off.

    Saxony drake injured call duck

I have 5 ducks (3 medium, 2 bantam) and 2 drakes (1 Saxony, 1 call). I know that isn't a good ratio but they had been getting along so well for months. Saxony drake injured call duck

My young Saxony drake keeps injuring my call duck. He bites her head and won't let go. I've put him in "time out" but do you think he will ever learn to leave her alone? Advice? Thanks

Hi, I have 3 standard size ducks and 1 call drake. Thinking about adding another one to my flock. I'm wondering if a duck or drake (standard or call) would integrate better? Thanks

    Coop water for ducks

I lock my ducks in the coop with my chickens at night. I use a regular chicken waterer but it always seems to get dirty and filled with shavings even though I've elevated it a bit off the floor. Just wondering if there is a better watering system I should l consider for the ducks when inside the...

Hi, I'm considering adopting a duck and a couple chickens from someone who lives about 2 hrs away from me. I'm wondering if they would be ok without food and water for the drive? Thanks
