I have 1 dog now, he is a black lab/German shepard mix. His name is Otis.
I also have a kitty named Smokey, she's tiny, cute and lives mosty outdoors.
New addtions are Rocky the 3 legged kitten and his sister Lightning.
My chicken list includes:
Cloud and Milo ~EE pair- hen and rooster...
Cloud, Milo's favorite hen has been getting rooster damage lately on the back of her head/neck, and on her back. I've made her an apron that I can put on her tomorrow, but what do I do about where he grabs on her head?
I don't think the breed says much about the rooster, my EE is a big baby. He's the first one to run and hide in the coop at any sign of trouble. He's really afraid of me- has been since I got him as a baby. I've tried showing him there's nothing to be afraid of, but he's still scared.
The only 2 foot problem I know of on chickens are bumblefoot and scaly leg mites. This doesn't seem to be mites. Maybe it's a result of frostbite? I noticed this yesterday.
You can see some scales missing where it's yellow, which I didn't notice until I held her for the picture.
This is...
You don't have to kick him to show dominance... I pin mine to the ground (by pushing on his back and holding his wings) until he calms down and can see that I'm boss. Then I'll pick him up and carry him around for a while.
