Im trying to figure out if my 8 week old jubilees are boys or girls. Asking for opinions.

I guess you could say they are sex links. All 3 red/blue are cockerals. Not sure about the 4 jubilees yet though.

Well it may be too early to tell for sure this early. I have had what i thoight was a boy be a girl and vise versa. Hoping for some girls anyway.

I also noticed today that one of the cross boys has feathers on his legs. I think it is confimed. Maran roo with a jubilee hen. She also sold me all 6 boys. Im furious beyond comprehension. Never would i ever do something like this to anyone.

The french marans have leg feathers but some american breeds do not. But with the white legs they could have taken the orpington trate on leg feathers too. I agree it does explain the colors and pattern. Just wish i had a girl that looked like them too. Maybe ill try to breed some in at some point.

Yes. You are right. Id have to build another coop to keep away from my jubilees if i kept em. Wish i had some cool looking girls to project cross them with.

I was realy hoping from the 3 at least one would be a girl. Guess ill have to cull all 3.

I dont know what else she had. She is not cooperating at all. She denies them as being ones she sold me. But they are from her.

I did ask her. I bought 7 chicks straight run that was supposed to be all jubilee orpingtons. Clearly 3 of the are not. They all looked alike as week old chicks. The seller claims they are not from her but they are.
