Correct. I'm in the southern hemisphere so summer has just started. No rooster though. I don't think this is pecking though as there is no blood.

Hi, One of my hens went through a normal moult but has since lost her feathers on her head. I thought she was just still going through a bit of a late moult but I noticed today the feathers don't seem to be growing back and now there are red spots. Thanks

Thanks LoneOak. I've taken your advice and have removed all seeds except for the layer crumble (I had just bought a 5kg bag so wanted to use that up before buying pellets). I really hope its not a plant in the garden as I live on a piece of land the size of a postage stamp and can't section...
