Thank you so much for the ideas, I really appreciate it! I think I'll try blocking off the nesting box she usually sleeps in (leaving 3 for the other hens), and adding a ramp. She goes up and down a ramp to get in the hen house, so that shouldn't be a problem. The wide roost is a great idea too...
I have a 1 year-old Australorp hen who only has one foot, so can't roost with the rest of the hens. Instead, she sleeps (and poops) in one of the nesting boxes. Does anyone have an idea of another place I can make for her to sleep? Thanks for any ideas!

We have six 5 1/2 month old chickens, one of whom is always sleeping now. I've read through a number of posts here, and just wanted to see if there was anything else out there. Other than randomly falling asleep anywhere, and resting on the roost inside the coop when everyone else is outside...
