I would try to seperate him from the flock if you can. When a chicken sees another hurt they may try to kill him. (Ive had a chicken have mites and the other chickens picked on her so she wasnt getting any better but when i seperated her she became healthy again.)
Ok so I have a 1.3 year old buff orpington that is eating her eggs. I kind of make most of my money off of eggs so this is a problem to me. She's really skinny and is only in a chicken tractor with three other chickens. So I don't really understand why she's so skinny. She's also my most...
On the Texas Coast and yes they are squating ocasionally. The lowest it's gotten this week at night is in the 30's farenhieght (pretty sure I spelled it wrong)
okay so I have 14 10 month old hens and they haven't laid and egg yet. I have lost 2 to a possum so i suppose that could be a problem but idk it is kind of chilly but not that much. I do have a laying feed and yes a light in their house. They might have mites or they are molting.... Any suggestions?
Out of curiosity it's summer going into fall and my chickens are about 8/9 months and still haven't layed. Is there some type of feed I could give them?
